Review: Wii Fit

So I realize this blog doesn't pertain to anything in particular, but this is my world. I've reviewed wedding dresses, J Crew/anthropologie/DVF/ Nanette Lepore/[insert designer here] apparel, pet supplies, chronicled my new diet, and much more. Today I would like to review my new favorite technology item: The Wii Fit.

I wasn't a believer. I purchased the Wii for Adam as a Christmas gift and this came with it. He got home a few days before Christmas from OCS and found it already hooked up. We were sitting on the couch and he looks at the television and says, "What's that?" Next thing I knew he was up turning it on making "happy noises."(My husband makes happy noises when he's very pleased)

He played quite a bit during his two weeks off from OCS. Two weeks ago I decided to try out the Wii Fit for myself and was amazed. A lot of the exercises are a lot of fun- I love the hula hoop aerobics. The object of the exercise is to move your hips in a wide cicle as many times as possible. It sounds silly, but is a lot of fun. Another wonderful aspect of the Fit is it teaches a person with bad posture (like me) better posture and balance.

Cons: Some of the exercise are a little boring. Maybe it's me, but I don't care for most the yoga. Also, the games aren't very difficult. I like the hula hoop game because I can feel the work out.

Overall, it's a great way to keep track of your weight and learn better balance while having some fun. I have a little weight chart with my goals. It's a definite motivator and a great investment.
